General information

Welcome to our website. This is a modern general practice with three doctors, nurse practitioner and three doctors’ assistants. You are welcome to register at our practice. You will be asked by our receptionist to fill out a registration form and show proof of identity such as a passport or driving license, after which you can make an appointment to see the doctor.

Opening Hours

The practice is open every working day from 8.00am to 5.00pm. Patients are seen by appointment. You can contact us via tel: 0318-615212 or via our link on the website (contact formulier) or via e-mail (info@huisartsmuthu.nl). Please do not use the contact formulier or e-mail to ask for medical advice.

Emergency

In an emergency, such as a life threatening situation, you can call the general telephone number and then press 1 (during working hours) or dial 112 (ambulance).

Cost/payment

If you have a foreign medical insurance or registered by another practice elsewhere outside Ede, then you are liable for the costs. You are expected to pay in cash for which you shall receive an official invoice. You can send this to your insurance company for re-imbursement.

Consultation shorter than 5 minutes: € 14.92
Consultation between 5 - 20 minutes: € 29.83
Consultation 20 minutes and longer: € 59.66
Visit shorter than 20 minutes: € 44.75
Visite 20 minutes and longer: € 74.58
Vaccination: € 14.92

If you have proof of registration with an insurance company within the Netherlands and hold a Burger Service Nummer (BSN), then you are entitled to register at our practice as a permanent/long term patient. Then the billing would be sent directly to the insurance company.

Doctors Assistant tasks

In The Netherlands, the doctors’ assistant is responsible for clinical and non-clinical tasks for which they are trained and supervised by the General Practitioner.

  • Making appointments
  • Answering the Telephone, clerical tasks
  • Repeat Prescriptions
  • Laboratory results
  • Measuring blood pressure
  • Treating warts (1st Wednesday of the month between 13.30-14.30 uur)
  • Treating wounds
  • Removing ear wax
  • Removing stitches
  • Testing the urine for urinary tract infections
  • Glucose control, testing for anaemia (low blood count)
  • Cervical smears
